  •  A critically low level is a red
    blood cell inventory less than
    a one-day supply.
  • A one day inventory is the
lowest level of red blood cell inventory in the Region's
    desirable range.
  • After September 11, 2001, optimal inventory levels for the Region changed from a three day inventory to a seven-day inventory of red blood cells.
